ّUN envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, said he met on Thursday with members of the Libyan Association for Political Science and International Law, where he “listened with interest to their views on the political crisis and heard their suggestions for the way forward to peace, stability and legitimized institutions.”
They discussed the role of academics in overcoming the current crisis and how political leaders could benefit from their expertise, according to Bathily.
“I stressed the importance of having implementable electoral laws to enable free and inclusive elections,” UN envoy pointed out.
