UN envoy highlight need to maintain stability in Tripoli

UN Special Adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams, said she met Sunday with the Libyan new Prime Minister, Fathi Bashagha, where she highlighted the need to maintain stability in Tripoli and throughout the country.

“I also met today with Prime Minister-designate, Mr. Fathi Bashagha. I highlighted the need to go forward in an inclusive, transparent, and consensual manner, and to maintain stability in Tripoli and throughout the country.” Williams tweeted.

“I stressed that the focus must continue to be on the holding of free, fair & inclusive national elections in the shortest possible time,” she added.
