The U.N. Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) for Libya, Hanna Tetteh, has met with the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires to Libya, Jeremy Berndt, to exchange views on recent political and security developments.
Discussions centered on the international community’s support for the incremental implementation of the roadmap to elections and unified institutions, which was outlined by SRSG Tetteh in her 21 August briefing to the Security Council, according to UNSMIL.
They discussed key prior actions, emphasizing the importance of working with Libyan institutions to implement the roadmap’s first phase and engaging key stakeholders to ensure a successful outcome.
