BERLIN – The United Nations has expressed hope that the second Berlin Conference on Libya on Wednesday would advance progress on removing foreign fighters out of the country.
Rosemary DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, said in a tweet on Monday that the UN is looking to “advance progress made on the ceasefire, including respect for the arms embargo and withdrawal of mercenaries , political roadmap and elections.”
