The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Libya has evacuated 150 refugees and asylum-seekers from Libya to Rwanda.
The organization said the process was part of its efforts to find durable solutions for migrants, such as resettlement to third countries or voluntary return.
It commended the Libyan authorities for their support and cooperation in facilitating the humanitarian evacuation flights.
More than 10,000 refugees have left Libya to third countries through evacuation or resettlement programs since 2017,” according to the UNHCR.
