American Vice President Kamala Harris will travel to Paris in November to participate in the conference on Libya with a range of other foreign leaders, her spokesperson said in a statement.
The France-hosted conference will take place on November 12, and aims to ensure that Libyan elections are be held on schedule and discuss the “departure of foreign forces and mercenaries,” according to last month’s announcement by French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.
Before attending the Libya conference, Harris will also deliver a speech at the fourth annual Paris Peace Forum on Nov. 11, her spokesperson said.
