The Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu Al-Qasim Haftar, received a high-level delegation of sheikhs, dignitaries, and elders from the Bani Walid (Warfalla) tribes at the Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar Military City.
The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government, Dr. Osama Hammad, and the Chief of the General Staff, General Khaled Haftar.
During the meeting, the Bani Walid tribes delegation expressed their pride in meeting the Commander-in-Chief, affirming their full support for the Armed Forces and its endeavors to build, reconstruct, protect, and unify the nation. The sheikhs and dignitaries also highly praised the General Command’s efforts to consolidate security and stability throughout the country.
For his part, Field Marshal Haftar welcomed the Bani Walid delegation, praising their steadfast patriotic stances and their active historical role in promoting social peace, national unity, and their continuous support for all national reconciliation initiatives.
The Commander-in-Chief delivered a political message, noting that the Libyan people are fully aware of the gravity of the current stage and that the country needs a “radical change in the political scene” to ensure security and stability.
Field Marshal Haftar called on citizens to take matters into their own hands through an “organized peaceful movement to determine their destiny and build the state.” He urged countries seeking peace in Libya to fully align with the Libyan people’s choice and stand by them, stressing that the real solution to the crisis “lies in the path decided by the people themselves.”
