Tripoli – The Criminal Research and Training Center concluded a specialized training course today, Saturday. It focused on “Fundamentals of Forensic Medicine for Investigators.” Several prosecutors attended the course. This was part of its 2025-2026 training plan.
The course targeted 48 public prosecutors. They work in the appeal courts of Sabha, Tobruk, Derna, Al-Bayda, Benghazi, Misrata, Al-Khums, Gharyan, Al-Zawiya, South Tripoli, and North Tripoli. The Public Prosecutor’s Office announced this on its official page.
The office confirmed the course is part of a training program. It aims to complete the preparatory qualification for members. These members were appointed to the first ranks of the judicial bodies. The goal is to enhance their capabilities. It seeks to develop their knowledge in criminal justice-related sciences. This includes technical evidence and expert support for judicial work. It also aims to improve judicial response in managing crime scenes under investigation.
The training activities included discussion sessions and exercises. Field visits were conducted. Practical case studies of incidents and locations were explored. Simulations of real cases involved investigation and inspection. Participants also visited morgues and laboratories. This allowed them to observe fieldwork within forensic medicine.
