1,291 new people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 23 percent of the infection rate, according to a Monday report by the National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC). The center also said that 14 people died of the virus, while 1,594 have recovered during the same reporting period.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 325,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 239,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 4,441 people. Over million people received one dose of the vaccination, while more than 133,000 others were vaccinated with two doses.
