Tripoli – A goalless draw settled the clash between the host team, Al-Ittihad of Libya, and Al-Masry of Port Said, yesterday evening, in the first leg of the preliminary round of 32 of the CAF Confederation Cup. The match, officiated by Gabonese referee Mebiame, ended without any goals.
The Tripoli International Stadium witnessed a large crowd of nearly 50,000 spectators, who created an enthusiastic atmosphere for the match, despite the lack of scoring, as both teams maintained the goalless draw for the full ninety minutes.
The return leg will be held on October 26th at the Suez City Stadium in Egypt, the home ground of the host team, Al-Masry of Port Said, to determine who will advance to the next round of the tournament.
