Sirte – The Sirte Electoral Administration completed the distribution of electoral materials to polling stations in the municipalities of Jufra and Gulf of Sidra yesterday, Friday, in preparation for the start of the polling process tomorrow, Saturday, as part of the third group of elections announced by the High National Elections Commission.
Mohamed Zreq, the Awareness and Communication Coordinator at the Sirte Electoral Administration office, told a “WAL” correspondent that the teams delivered the electoral materials to the Jufra municipality centers under full security from the Jufra Security Directorate, adding that the number of candidate lists for the Jufra Municipal Council reached seven, in addition to 15 candidates running as individuals.
He added that the field teams also completed the distribution of electoral materials to the Gulf of Sidra municipality centers this evening, under the direct supervision and security of the Sirte Security Directorate, noting that the number of candidate lists there reached four, and the number of candidates running as individuals is 19.
This distribution is the final stage before polling stations open to voters tomorrow, Saturday morning, as part of the High Elections Commission’s efforts to ensure the electoral process proceeds smoothly and safely.
