Presidential candidate Suleiman Al-Bayoudi affirmed that the initiative of Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, Deputy General Commander of the Armed Forces, regarding Fezzan, represents a roadmap that can contribute to strengthening the private sector and encouraging return migration to the south, where the “springs of goodness” are, as he put it.
Fezzan and the demographic change attempt
Al-Bayoudi explained, in a post on his Facebook page, that Fezzan was subjected to the most dangerous attempt at demographic change, stressing that the steadfastness of its people was the decisive factor in preserving its affiliation with the unified national entity.
Efforts to revive the south and strengthen the private sector
Al-Bayoudi said the time has come for the people of Fezzan to reap the fruits of their patience, considering that Lieutenant General Saddam’s initiative is the cornerstone of the project to revive the region and activate the private sector, due to the promising opportunities it holds for the area’s advancement.
A call for youth to head towards Cyrenaica and Fezzan
Al-Bayoudi advised young people seeking work and a future to head towards Cyrenaica and Fezzan, describing Benghazi as the “nurturer of the lost” that has risen again and represents a vast field for seeking a livelihood. He called for moving away from being prisoners of the media and illusions, stressing that waiting for good to come from places that “produce nothing but mirages” will not achieve the aspirations of the youth.
