Political activist Hassan al-Saghir criticized the performance of the Administrative Control Authority and its mechanism for dealing with its employees, considering that its role is not limited to issuing judgments or performing tasks similar to the municipal guard, but rather consists of preparing accurate reports and monitoring workflow according to the required standards and rates.
Al-Saghir affirmed that the fault lies with the Authority, whether its members fail to perform their duties or if their recommendations are not implemented, stressing that the public disparagement of employees in front of their subordinates and the public is inappropriate.
Amid the ongoing controversy between the Audit Bureau and the Control Authority in Tripoli, al-Saghir called for the creation of an accounting council comprising retired administrative judges to directly monitor contracting procedures and stages, in a way that would put an end to what he described as a “campaign of mutual scandals and escalating one-upmanship” between the two institutions.
