Algerian president, Turkish FM discuss developments in Libya

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met in Algiers on Sunday to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and issues of mutual concern.

“The meeting focused on topical regional and international issues and made it possible to confirm the convergence of views on many issues, in particular the developments in Libya, Western Sahara, Tunisia and the Sahel countries, which calls for strengthening cooperation and unifying efforts to contribute to the achievement of stability in the region,” according to a statement by the Algerian presidency.

Çavuşoğlu that Turkey has “identical” views to Algeria on many issues, including “developments in Libya, Sahel countries, Tunisia, and others. international issues.
