The Secretary of the Arab Organization for Human Rights (AOHR) in Libya, Abdel Moneim Al-Hur, said that the consensus on the road map between the House of Representatives (HoR) and the High Council of State (HCS) limits foreign interference.
Al-Hur added in press statements that this consensus enhances the extension of state sovereignty and reduces foreign influence to some extent.
The Secretary explained that HoR and HCS have an opportunity to create a real consensus to reunite the country.
He stated that the consensus on the roadmap and the holding of the elections on time receives societal support that goes beyond the active political forces.
He indicated that what reinforces the aggravation of the existing chaotic situation is the continued granting of privileges to HoR and HCS members.
Al-Hur stressed that HoR and HCS members are keen to continue the gains they enjoy regardless of the country’s interest.
He pointed out that the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) turned into a tool for managing conflict and political strife prior to last December 24, the date of the postponed elections.
