The Head of Libya’s Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, met with Oil Minister Mohamed Aoun in Tripoli today for talks on the Bureau’s verification of international oil agreements
According to a statement by the Bureau, the two also discussed mechanism of selecting external auditors to review the financial work of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and its subsidiaries “as stipulated in the laws regulating the oil sector.”
The two parties agreed to hold a subsequent meeting with representatives from Ministry of Oil, the NOC, and the relevant technical committees to review oil agreements.
