Benghazi – A training course has commenced at Benghazi Medical Center. It focuses on the first version of health institution accreditation standards. The Health Facilities Accreditation and Monitoring Authority organizes the course. This is part of its efforts to enhance a culture of quality. It also aims to develop accreditation concepts within health institutions. The course will last for three days.
Dr. Radwa Al-Sayed opened the course with a scientific lecture. She discussed modern principles and methodologies for applying accreditation standards. Her lecture also covered mechanisms for improving healthcare service quality. Patient safety was another key topic. Dr. Al-Sayed drew upon her extensive experience in quality improvement projects.
Dr. Fadwa Al-Faidi is the head of the Health Facilities Accreditation and Monitoring Authority. She explained the course objectives. The course aims to build the capacity of national medical, technical, and administrative staff. It seeks to unify concepts and raise the level of institutional readiness. This prepares institutions to implement accreditation standards across Libya. The initiative will improve institutional performance efficiency.
