This action followed a field inspection tour. Major General Abdulmonem Al-Mahashash led the tour. He is the head of the agency. Guard patrols accompanied him. The tour was prompted by a significant price hike. Some vegetable prices had become excessive.
The agency warned traders. They must not exploit citizens. This warning is especially relevant with Ramadan approaching. The agency confirmed ongoing inspection tours. Strict legal actions will be taken against violators.
