The European Union High Representative, Josep Borrell, visited Libya today to meet with the Libyan government to discuss road map implementation, elections preparations, security situation and the future of the partnership, according to EU Delegation in Libya.
Borrell said he met with the Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Mangoush, in Tripoli, confirming EU’s rediness to support Libya on elections, ceasefire, and unifying political institutions.
“Good to meet Minister Mangoush in Tripoli. Libya has achieved much progress over the past year – ceasefire, unified political institutions & a roadmap to elections in December. Now it’s time to consolidate this progress. In Libya today to discuss how EU can support,” Borell tweeted.
