Tripoli – A group of clubs from the Western Region in Central Tripoli, including Yarmouk Club in Janzour, issued a statement expressing their dissatisfaction with what they described as “administrative confusion and poor organization” in the work of the Libyan Football Federation in recent seasons.
The statement pointed to violations in decisions related to local competitions, favoritism towards some clubs at the expense of others, and its impact on fairness and the spirit of fair competition among teams. It also highlighted irregularities in the registration and participation committees and poor management of schedules, which negatively affected the league’s format and administrative efficiency.
The clubs demanded that the federation address these violations within a week, warning of taking radical corrective steps if there is no response. They also called for a meeting with the Minister of Sports to discuss fair financial support for clubs and sports infrastructure projects.
The clubs announced the formation of a coordinating committee for the Western Region to communicate with clubs in the Southern and Eastern regions, with the aim of unifying the sporting position and establishing a joint mechanism to reform the Libyan football system. They emphasized their commitment to the future of Libyan football and called on all clubs to unite their efforts.
