The Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce reported yesterday that it had held meetings, led by its chairman Anwar Abu Sitta, with the Milan and Brescia Chambers of Commerce in Italy. Abu Sitta was accompanied by a group of businessmen affiliated with the Chamber.
The Chamber reported that the Libyan delegation met a group of Italian companies wishing to enter the Libyan market and aimed during the meeting to raise the level of communication between the Italian companies affiliated with the Brescia and Milan Chambers of Commerce and the Libyan companies affiliated with the Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce.
The aim was to enhance the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, study and solve the problems facing Libyan and Italian companies operating between the two countries and coordinate to establish a Libyan-Italian economic forum in Tripoli next May.
