The 5+5 Joint Military Committee has completed the logistical preparations for reopening the coastal road, which is expect to happen at the end of its second round of talks today, said Maraj al-Amami, a member of the committee, on Thursday.
The JMC held a preliminary meeting this morning in Sirte, after which another meeting would take place this evening to discuss the reopening and securing of the coastal road, removal mercenaries and foreign fighters, the dismantling of militias and armed groups and the exchange of detainees.
“Meetings and discussions are proceeding positively and constructively, and we agreed on several points,” he said. “We also seek to take important decisions and steps that enhance progress on the military track.”
