Tripoli – The Amsaad – Ras Ejdir Road Implementation and Management Authority has announced an agreement. It is with an Italian company. The agreement covers work on the fourth sub-section. This section runs between Al-Aziziyah and Ras Ejdir. Work is scheduled to begin on May 6th.
This announcement followed an extensive meeting. It was held yesterday, Tuesday. The meeting was chaired by the head of the authority. Department managers, office managers, and authority engineers attended. Representatives from the Italian consultant, BMC Company, were also present. Delegates from the Italian contractor, Todini Company, also participated. Todini is contracted for sub-section 4.3. This section spans 160 kilometers, connecting Al-Aziziyah and Ras Ejdir. Representatives from the Military Engineering Department attended. The Libyan Mine Clearance Center also sent delegates. The University Consulting Office, which supervises mine clearance, was also present.
The authority affirmed the meeting’s purpose. It is part of continuous follow-up with the Italian side. This ensures the project will launch. It will meet the highest technical standards. It will also adhere to the scheduled deadlines.
