Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio spoke on the phone with his American counterpart Antony Blinken to discuss a number of international issues including the elections in Libya, the Italian foreign ministry said on Friday.
The two chief diplomats were seeking to “coordinate on dialogue with Moscow and support to Ukrainian territorial integrity and sovereignty,” according to a statement by the Italian ministry via Twitter.
“Talks also on Libya electoral process and coordination in support of Tunisia political and economic reforms,” it added.
