Discussions to Enhance Digital Transformation Between National Oil Corporation and University of Benghazi
Eng. Masoud Suleiman, Chairman of the Board of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), held talks with Dr. Abdelkarim Al-Ghazali, Acting President of the University of Benghazi, and Magdi Al-Otaibi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum – Jalu Branch, to explore areas of joint cooperation aimed at advancing petroleum sciences, developing training programs, and transferring and localizing expertise.
In a statement issued by the NOC on Monday, the two sides, during a visit by Al-Ghazali and Al-Otaibi to the corporation’s Sustainable Development Department officials, discussed the university’s ambitious plans to elevate the quality of its facilities and academic departments, which would positively impact the quality of education.
Al-Ghazali praised the significant support provided by the NOC to the University of Benghazi and its faculties spread across wide areas of eastern Libya. He commended the level of implementation of the first phase of the electronic archiving project, the support for the digital transformation program, as well as the printing of university publications and the establishment of classrooms.
The two parties also explored the possibility of the NOC supporting the second phase of the electronic archiving project and electronically linking the faculties with the administration, which would contribute to developing university management and transitioning it from a traditional system to a fully integrated digital one.
