Benghazi – The theater of Al-Sadd Al-Aali High School for Girls in the city of Benghazi organized a special celebration on Thursday, dedicated to supporting and empowering people of determination. The event was sponsored by the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Benghazi, under the supervision of the Faculty’s Dean, Ahmed Al-Darsi, and the Head of the Services and Environment Office, Tawfiq Al-Haddad, with wide participation from educators and those in charge of adult education and literacy programs.
This event came in collaboration with the administration of Al-Sadd Al-Aali School and was attended by a number of educational figures, including Mari Al-Barsha, Abdullah Al-Fakhir, Abdulsalam Al-Tawerghi, and Director Salah Al-Subaihi. An opening speech was delivered by the Head of the Services and Environment Office on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty, affirming the faculty’s continued adoption of programs aimed at supporting people of determination and integrating them into educational and sports activities.
The Center’s Director, Abdulsalam Al-Tawerghi, told the Libyan News Agency: “This celebration represents an important step in promoting interest in people of determination through adult education programs, with the goal of empowering them and effectively integrating them into society.” He noted that the center is continuing to present initiatives and efforts that contribute to enhancing their capabilities and honing their skills, in appreciation of their role and status.
The celebration included a scientific symposium presented by Hanaa Jibril titled “Strength and Creativity – Vision and Integration,” during which she addressed the abilities of people of determination and their needs from motor, visual, and auditory aspects, while emphasizing the importance of training programs that enhance their skills and community participation.
The ceremony also included the honoring of a number of female teachers in appreciation of their contributions and efforts: Randa Boushnaif, Sanaa Fawzi, Fayrouz Abdulsamad, Hind Al-Amami, Nisreen Awad, Marwa Al-Maslati, and Mabrouka Boukhatwa. Two students, Warda Rahil, a person of determination, and Fathia Al-Amami from the Faculty of Education, contributed by presenting segments of the celebration and its related statistics.
The celebration concluded by affirming the continued cooperation between the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the Al-Sadd Al-Aali Center for Literacy, in a way that enhances the support directed towards people of determination and solidifies their active presence within the community.
