Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, reiterated his country’s position calling for the exit of all foreign forces, mercenaries and foreign fighters from Libya, during his meeting with the UN envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis, Saturday in Cairo.
Shoukry stressed the great importance that Egypt attaches to the foreign presence as a clear threat to Libyan sovereignty.
Shoukry stressed the need for any international moves in this regard to lead to the exit of all forms of foreign presence simultaneously and without exception or discrimination, according the Egyptian Foreign Ministry statement.
For his part, the UN envoy briefed Minister Shoukry on the results of his contacts with the various parties concerned with the Libyan crisis, and his vision for moving the situation in Libya towards stability.
