Paris – Socialist Party candidate Emmanuel Grégoire has been elected Mayor of Paris, winning by a significant margin over former minister Rachida Dati of the “Les Républicains” party, according to preliminary estimates.
Grégoire led a coalition including the Socialist Party, the Greens, and the Communist Party, securing 53.1% of the vote. Meanwhile, Dati, supported by a coalition of “Renaissance,” “Horizons,” and “MoDem,” received 38%.
