Tripoli – The General Electricity Company announced on Friday the arrival of a new shipment of spare parts for the third gas unit at the Al-Sarir power station, supplied by the German company Siemens Energy. This is part of the final preparations to bring the unit into service and connect it to the public grid.
The company explained that this shipment’s arrival follows the successful trial operation of the unit via the “slow rotation” system, affirming that bringing the third unit into actual operation will contribute to enhancing the generation capacity at the Al-Sarir station, supporting the stability of the electrical grid, and helping to meet the growing demand for energy across the country.
