Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), Aqila Saleh, called for the unification of institutions in the Libyan government, with the participation of all regions in power.
Saleh stressed that the Government of National Unity (GNU) did not unify the institutions, explaining that unification of institutions means the participation of all regions in power, through ministers, embassies, investment companies, and that the government concentrated power in one place and increased centralization.
He also called in press statements Friday on the withdrawal of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libyan territory.
He urged the international community to punish Turkey and oblige it to remove its forces from Libya.
HoR Speaker expected the elections to be held on time, as the only way to put an end to the country’s crisis. If the elections are not held, the country may return to chaos, he warned.
