Tripoli – The Umrah Affairs Department of the General Authority for Hajj and Umrah Affairs announced on Wednesday a set of 18 documentary requirements that companies organizing Umrah trips must meet to renew their contracts and obtain an operating license for the 1447 AH Umrah season.
In a notice posted on its official Facebook page, the Authority stated that each company must submit a formal application to the Authority requesting the operating license. This must be accompanied by certified copies of essential documents, such as the company’s articles of incorporation, bylaws, and the minutes of the partners’ meeting, as well as the original tax clearance certificate.
Requirements also include submitting copies of a valid company license, the commercial registry, an operating license from the Ministry of Tourism, a certificate from the Chamber of Tourism, and a permit from the Civil Aviation Authority. Additionally, a color copy of the company owner’s valid passport, their national ID number, and a personal photograph are required.
The procedures also involve providing the company’s official seal to sign the binding pledge for the operating license, submitting a copy of the contract with the Saudi agent, and a copy of a valid International Air Transport Association (IATA) license. Furthermore, companies must provide a report detailing the entry and exit of pilgrims from the previous season, and proof of ownership for the company’s headquarters or a copy of its lease agreement.
The Authority emphasized that meeting these requirements is an essential condition for organizing a successful and orderly Umrah season, ensuring compliance with approved legal and administrative regulations.
