Prime Minister Osama Hammad conducted an inspection visit to the Ouagadougou Halls complex on Saturday. The Prime Minister was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including the Director General of the Development and Reconstruction Fund, Eng. Balqasim Haftar, the Executive Director of the National Development Agency-Sirte, Dr. Mahmud Elfurjani, the Chairman of the Reconstruction and Stabilization Committee, Hatem Al-Aribi, the Commander of the Sirte Operations Room, General Ahmed Salem, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Abu Bakr Al-Zawi.
During the tour, the Prime Minister was briefed on the various operational and infrastructural challenges facing the Ouagadougou Halls complex. He reaffirmed the Libyan government’s commitment to supporting the development of Sirte, which he described as the “launch pad” for the government and the main host of the Joint Military Commission (5+5) meetings.
Addressing the delegation, the Prime Minister assured that all demands and needs of the Ouagadougou Halls complex would be addressed, and he commended the efforts of the Lihya National Army in securing the city.
The involvement of the National Development Agency-Sirte in this visit underscores the government’s focus on utilizing national resources to drive the rehabilitation and revitalization of key infrastructure in Sirte.
