The Libyan High National Elections Commission (HNEC) has announced that it would provide a comprehensive briefing on the developments of the electoral process in a press conference next Sunday, and would announce the opening of the door for candidacy for the presidential and parliamentary elections, and the start of the process of distributing voter cards.

The Commission said in a statement Thursday that it would address its preparations for the elections, scheduled for December 24, inviting all media and civil society organizations to attend the conference.
