Some members of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) have denounced in a statement today the military movements in the Western Region.
Four HoR members said they “followed with great concern the military movements of the Government of National Unity (GNU) in the Western Region, which could explode the situation and threaten social peace and the unity of the Libyan territory.”
In this regard, the members rejected the military approach and the use of weapons to address crises and challenges in the Western Region.
They held GNU, led by Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, fully responsible for all resulting losses of lives and properties, and tearing apart the social fabric.
HoR members called on all political parties, civil organizations, and regulatory bodies to assume their responsibilities in this regard.
They called on “the people, cities, villages and tribes, to adhere to the approach of national reconciliation and not be drawn into calls for strife and fighting.”
HoR memers who issued the statement are:
– Hana Khalifa Abu Deeb
– Naima Ramadan Delf
– Rahma Abu Bakr Adam
– Fatima Ahmed Karis
