Presidential candidate Suleiman Al-Bayoudi said that Libya is witnessing its worst political, social, and economic conditions, stressing that the country is rapidly descending towards a catastrophic collapse, as institutions have been dismantled, a culture of plunder has spread, and corruption has become a normal practice in public life.
Al-Bayoudi explained in a post on his personal Facebook page that Libya suffers not only from the absence of good governance but also from the lack of an effective political opposition, noting that plans, programs, and projects are absent from the public scene.
Al-Bayoudi pointed to a state of polarization and competition linked to spoils, not to the nation, considering that there are no reliable alternatives to deal with this collapse, mitigate its severity, or prevent it.
