The US ambassador and envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, met several Libyan figures in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, including Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Aqila Saleh, to discuss the latest developments in Libya, and follow-up on mechanisms for reaching the elections on their scheduled date on December 24, press sources reported.
Saleh and some political figures had arrived in Cairo earlier, without disclosing the program of the visit and the meetings that would be held during their stay in Egypt.
