Transport Minister of the Libyan outgoing Government, Mohamed al-Shoubi, discussed Thursday with representatives of the Italian group “Consorzio Aeneas” mechanisms for resuming the reconstruction work of Tripoli International Airport, which was closed in the summer of 2014 as a result of clashes in the capital.
The project cost is about 80 million euros to build two terminals, one national and the other international, with all airport facilities that allow its opening.
Italian Embassy in Libya tweeted: “Extremely positive meeting of the Italian group “Consorzio Aeneas” with the Transport Minister and his accompanying delegation on the upcoming resumption of reconstruction work of Tripoli International Airport.”
