ROME – Italy’s Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio, said on Wednesday that it looks with “great attention and lively expectation” at the new ongoing session of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) in Geneva that aims to define a constitutional framework within which the December elections will take place.
“Libya needs more than ever unity, convergence and full sovereignty for its political, institutional and economic rebirth,” said Di Maio in a brief statement.
“Italy strongly encourages to timely reach an agreement with broad consensus thus allowing elections to be held in the scheduled date.”
