TRIPOLI – Richard Norland, the United States ambassador to Libya, has urged the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) to work with the U.N. Mission in Libya to reach consensus on the constitutional basis needed to hold national elections in December.
“December elections are the best path to a legitimately elected, accountable gov’t as a means to ensure stability, prosperity, and public service delivery for the welfare of Libyans,” Norland told the think tank Crisis Group.
