Italy and Russia share the “urgent need” to continue supporting the internal Libyan negotiations, because joint cooperation between the two countries on Libya is “pivotal”, the Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio told reporters on Friday during a press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Rome.
For his part, Lavrov reiterated the importance of “a gradual withdrawal of military unit”, however, he noted the lack of positive development regarding this matter.
