Benghazi – The 8th edition of the Dignity “Alkarama” Marathon has commenced. It is being held in Marshal Khalifa Haftar Military City in Benghazi. The marathon coincides with the 74th anniversary of Libya’s independence.
The Military Sports Federation supervised the organization of the marathon. Over 10,000 members of the armed forces participated. Official figures were present at the event. These included Lieutenant General Abdullah Al-Thani. Al-Thani is the Commissioner-General of Marshal Khalifa Haftar Military City. Several other military leaders also attended.
The Military Information Division broadcast images of the marathon. The division is affiliated with the General Command of the Armed Forces. These images showed the high level of organization. They also reflected the large participation. The event had a national character. It celebrated this historic occasion.
