Al-Kufra – The field committee confirmed the sound health of all poultry in Al-Kufra city. The committee is responsible for monitoring poultry health. This followed a comprehensive inspection tour. Mohammed Bushleif, a member of the Al-Kufra Municipality Media Office, spoke to the Libyan News Agency. He stated that the committee monitored all stages of poultry farming and sales. The committee included representatives from the Environmental Sanitation Department. It also had members from the Municipal Guard, Agricultural Police, and Animal Health Office. The committee emphasized adherence to preventive measures. This ensures the health of birds. It also guarantees consumer safety.
Bushleif added that the tour was not limited to monitoring. It also included awareness campaigns for farmers and shop owners. These campaigns covered safe handling methods for dead poultry. They also addressed necessary procedures to limit disease spread. This initiative enhances veterinary safety.
He clarified that these inspection tours will continue periodically. They are part of an integrated plan. Any indicators requiring rapid intervention will be monitored. This ensures bird health. It also protects the community from potential health risks.
