Libyan Transportation Minister Mohamed Salem Al-Shoubi arrived in Cairo on Wednesday, where he met with Egyptian Minister of Aviation Mohamed Manar to discuss bilateral cooperation in the field of the aviation industry, according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministerial Council.
During the meeting, Manar stressed the depth of the Egyptian-Libyan relations and stated that his ministry is keen to strengthen its relations with Libya and transfer the Egyptian expertise in the aviation sector by providing “training, maintenance, technical works, air freight and air navigation.”
For his part, Al-Shoubi praised the efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation in developing Egypt’s civil aviation system. He stressed that the Libyan Ministry of Transportation “aspire for more fruitful cooperation with the Egyptian side and benefiting from the Egyptian expertise in the field of civil aviation.”
