The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) has reported on Sunday that 1,121 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 18 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 11 others died of the virus, while 1,818 have recovered during the same reporting period.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 330,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 246,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 4,501 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 151,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
