The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Tuesday that 1,815 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 34 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 9 others died of the virus, while 3,160 have recovered during the same reporting period.
125 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 488,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 447,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 6,210 people in total. Over two million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while over one million were fully vaccinated with two doses. Over 60,000 people received booster doses.
