The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Sunday that 2,292 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 29 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 13 others died of the virus, while 4,030 have recovered during the same reporting period.
135 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 484,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 441,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 6,191 people in total. Over two million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while over one million were fully vaccinated with two doses. Over 57,000 people received booster doses.
