The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Sunday that 3,648 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 28 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 12 others died of the virus, while 3,648 have recovered during the same reporting period.
125 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 470,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 418,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 6,125 people in total. Over two million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while over one million were fully vaccinated with two doses. Over 45,000 people received booster doses.
