The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Thursday that 643 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 11 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 15 others died of the virus, while 532 have recovered during the same reporting period.
135 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 392,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 379,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 5,767 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 870,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
