The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) has reported on Monday that 683 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 13 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 21 others died of the virus, while 1,819 have recovered during the same reporting period.
198 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 357,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 296,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 5,099 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 427,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
