The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Sunday that 735 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 13 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 10 others died of the virus, while 622 have recovered during the same reporting period.
131 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 385,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 373,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 5,651 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 807,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
